about Ali Pohn
Empowering kids is the single thread
that runs through Ali Pohn’s entire
career. She began her professional life
in elementary education and later
transitioned into kid and family
marketing, media, entertainment
and market research. Ali studied
Elementary Education at Tufts and
Northwestern Universities and trained
in public speaking and
improvisation at the Second City
Training Center.
Ali’s quest—harnessing kindness to
change the world—is inspired by her daughter, Lexie. After Lexie was bullied
in middle school, she made the life-changing decision to never allow anyone within her sphere to be bullied, ignored
or marginalized.
In 2014, Lexie was killed in a terrorist attack in Afghanistan where she
worked to support educational opportunities for some of the world's
most abused—Afghani women.
Lexie and her mission continue to inspire people throughout the world.
